An ink pen illustration of a photo I liked from the Free People website. The photo is black and white but I hope to color the illustration later/get my sister to color it for me.

More experiments with gold leaf! I'm obsessed...

Honored to have my piece selected into theAbstracts Art Exhibition from Light Space & Time online gallery! I'm really impressed by some of the work represented here, and excited to have found some new artists to follow.

My featured painting, now titled "Ingot" is oil on canvas, 2013

While home for the past two weeks for spring break I worked on a few experimental abstract paintings. I'm focusing on adding in some more "drawing" aspects to my paintings, and that is something that I will probably keep playing with for the rest of the semester. On these I was adding in pastel and paint marker to acrylic paint.

I've been playing with adding a little bit of gold leaf to some of my work. It works pretty well on canvas with no sealant.

In my painting class this semester we are focusing a lot on color; this is my attempt to focus on different values of one blueish color and also have a starkly contrasting orange

Semi-large triangle drawings and one really big watercolor are in progress!

My elation that this agonizing semester is over is limitless. Cascades of rainbow watercolor dots abound.
Symmetry, however, is illusive.
Both these paintings are available as prints and iphone cases at www.society6.com/fossilized

A couple shots from the print studio this afternoon. Most are part of my final book project and a couple (the colorful ones) are just experiments.
